BlephEx

What does BlephEx™ do for you?
BlephEx™, the newest treatment for blepharitis, is an in-practice procedure performed directly by your specialist Optometrist.  Your eye care practitioner can now take an active role in treating your blepharitis instead of you having to perform once or twice eye lid hygiene at home.  With BlephEx™ your specialist Optometrist  thoroughly and gently cleanses your eye lids, removing the blepharitis debris which is the main causes of inflammatory eye lid problems.

Common symptoms of blepharitis.
  • Itching or scratchy eyes
  • Foreign body sensation
  • Tearing
  • Crusting
  • Redness/inflammation
  • Mattering
  • Dry eyes
  • Eye rubbing

BlephEx™ will reduce or alleviate these chronic and debilitating symptoms in your patients. Treatments are typically repeated at regular three to six monthly intervals depending on the severity of the disease. By eliminating the inflammatory cause of blepharitis, the overall health of the eyelid is improved. Patients can then begin to produce more of their own tears and finally enjoy a life free from the chronic and irritating symptoms associated with blepharitis and its subsequent dry eye disease.  Some patients also show improved eye lash growth.

Please call or telephone either practice today to arrange your Blepharitis treatment.  Fishponds  01179654434  or  Henleaze  01179622474
