The use of colour to aid reading is well known. Often children & young people have tried a coloured sheet in school and found it helps their reading or learning difficulties. But what next?
We have been prescribing precise coloured tints for over 30 years. Our current Senior Optometrist Peter remembers two of his classmates wearing tinted glasses in lessons that his father Philip had prescribed for them!
Below you can read a list of signs and symptoms. If you answer yes to one or more you may have vision stress!
There is good research that suggests that around 90% of patients who report the above signs or symptoms, & find a colour helpful, probably have an underlying binocular vision problem. That is to say that often their eyes are not comfortable focussing, tracking or working together. Peter calls this vision stress.
We are very happy to see new patients, in fact many of our patients are referred to us by friends, teaches or just find us via a search engine!
Peter leads our specialist clinics and has been helping his patients experience clear and comfortable vision for over 19 years.
Peter recommends an eye exam with us as a first step. You can meet your Optometrist who will discuss your specific eye or vision needs, concerns or symptoms and advise how we can help.
If you choose a precise coloured lens assessment Peter & his team will be happy to look after you. We use an automated process to ensure that you receive a consistent and science based approach to finding the clearest vision result for you.
Your assessment will last around 30-45 minutes and the results will be demonstrated to you. We can provide precise tinted glasses, overlays or advise on the use of coloured paper and computer screen tinting.
