Eye Gym describes the process of vision therapy that helps our patients learn to overcome their visual difficulties, ensuring that we help each of them achieve their individual target, including clear comfortable and sustainable vision - for life.
Eye Gym assessment & vision therapy process:
1. A full diagnostic & functional vision assessment with Peter, our Senior Optometrist, an accredited Behavioural Optometrist & Vision Therapist. This is a component by component assessment of the patient’s visual system - which includes computerised assessment of eye movements, eye tracking and eye coordination as well as assessment of visual development.
2. A written report is produced by Peter, which includes information explaining the why of the patient’s difficulties.
3. A personalised training plan is designed for each patient based on the findings of their vision assessment.
4. Vision therapy sessions are started with one of our Vision Therapists.
5. Interim reviews occur regularly with our Senior Coach, Peter.
6. Aim to achieve the target of clear, comfortable, and sustainable binocular vision - for life.
When you begin your first training session with your Vision Therapist, we will set your achievable goals and targets and a plan on how to get you there. You will be shown how to do each of the vision therapy exercises with an explanation of what this will help you achieve. Each exercise has been specially designed by Peter to efficiently get you to your target. We follow a focused exercise process to ensure that you can achieve your goal without being overburdened with complexities you don't need.
If you've got a few minutes, five or six days a week, and would like improved vision then Eye Gym is the Vision Therapy for you!
